    “Back to the Basics: Turfgrass Management 101”

    This event is open to ALL Asst. Superintendents and all WGCSA Members and Staff!

    8:45 am “Irrigation Electrical Systems” - Gabe Lopez, Owner of Irrigation Protection Services, Inc.

    This hands on session will take you through how to use a multimeter and apply that knowledge towards troubleshooting common problems such as faulty solenoids, broken wires and bad wire splices via your satellites out on the course.

    10:30 am “All Things Irrigation” - Aaron Goninen, Golf Irrigation Sales, Reinders

    - Dustin Peterson, Golf Irrigation Sales & Support, Clesen PROturf - Rain Bird.

    During this interactive session, attendees will learn the crucial components of Toro & Rain Bird heads & their functions, how to properly tear apart and put back together irrigation heads and troubleshoot common irrigation head problems. Aside of irrigation repair & troubleshooting; attendees will gain a simple understanding about irrigation hydraulics & control systems.

    One of the most important tasks we face in this industry is making sure we apply the correct amount of chemical on our courses. Too little can lead to poor pest control and too much can hurt the bottom line. In this session, you will learn how to properly calibrate a sprayer, troubleshoot common issues and learn the best ways to maintain your sprayer.
