Internal Combustion Engines: A Basic Introductions
What: The presentation by Jeff Borowski, the Erin Hills equipment manager, will cover three of the most common Internal Combustion Engines that are used in daily turf maintenance operations and their differences/similarities. It will also cover the basic components of each and the sub-systems that make them operate. Fuel, Lubrication, Mechanical components, Cooling systems, Electrical/Ignition Systems, etc. And BASIC troubleshooting of the systems. It is a BASIC fundamentals and familiarization approach to help individuals know where to go and what to look for when things do not work as they should. After the class, participants will get a tour of the Erin Hills maintenance shop.
